Touch greatness, when you bring home this Willie Mays 1968 game-used bat. Mays wielded this Adirondack M63 signature model bat while with the San Francisco Giants. Though the Hall of Fame centerfielder was on the wrong side of his prime by then, he turned in a pretty decent season, finishing 13th in the NL MVP voting. Free of cracks, this handsome bat shows authentic signs of use, that add up to a PSA/DNA game use grade of (GU 7). Contact marks and cleat impressions are noted on the barrel. Pine tar streaks are seen on the center factory brand label, and the handle is evenly coated with residue. The knob is impressed with the model number "M63", and though faded, Mays uniform number "24" in red, can still be detected on the knob. A facsimile of Mays' signature is burned into the barrel, and PSA has concluded the bat characteristics are correct for the defined labeling period, as an authentic Willie Mays gamer. As revered and beloved as it gets for a baseball player, Mays is an icon of the sport, and owning a genuine piece of his legacy such as this, should be viewed as an honor.
