Graded VG-EX 50 by SGC. John Montgomery Ward was a rarity in 19th Century baseball; he was a college-educated man that chose baseball over business. His distinct nature and leadership brought about the first players’ revolt during the 1890s as he started the Players’ League to get the players a larger share of the gate receipts.
