Over a nine-year career, Charles Bassett played for the Kansas City Cowboys, Louisville Colonels, New York Giants, Providence Grays and the Indianapolis Hoosiers; the team in which he is depicted on this 1888 N173 Old Judge Cabinet. Graded VG 3 by PSA, the (Bat in Right Hand, Hand at Side) pose is the only such evaluated by the third-party grading service. The sepia image is relatively clear while two of the four corners are problem-free. With exception to reverse fingerprints, the blank reverse is clean. Lovely example of this early National League participant in a pleasing state of preservation. More on our website.
